On Sunday I went on a walk in nature to escape the heat - we're currently having a full-blown summer here with temperatures up to 30°C. I admit, it's a bit too much for me (this makes me a freak in my country because everybody adores the burning heat and they're tanning like crazy) so I went for a walk under the trees. I can perfectly stand the heat in the shadow of the trees, with a breeze on my (spf-protected) skin.
I wore a cotton vintage circle skirt - the amount of fabric in this
skirt is insane! I almost threw this beauty out of my wardrobe, what was
I thinking. I'm glad I kept it! The red top is actually a bodycon
dress, but it's a bit too tight and short to wear and to feel
comfortable in for me, so I wear it as a top!
Top (dress): Zara
Skirt: Vintage
Shoes: Carrefour
Sunglasses: H&M
I hope you're all enjoying summer or whatever season you're having right now!

I would love to have more hot summer days this year, it seems they are already gone and I didn't get enough forest walks in July :-( And I'm in love with your sunglasses!
ReplyDeleteThis summer has been a bit crazy... the weather is so unpredictable and can totally change in a matter of days! Thank you! The sunglasses were only € 1, bargain! :D
Deletebeautiful scenery! and that skirt has a really cool pattern!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteHi dear!
ReplyDeleteFor some unknown reason my reader wasn´t showing your posts, so I lost the last two or three. So bad. But now I am back. So nice to read from you again!
You are totally right about the weather, I find it annoying when it´s so hot and one cannot simply feel comfortable outdoors. The weather is being crazy in here, we had 30 grades on Friday and Saturday too but since then it looks like October :( I´d like to be in a balanced point.
Anyway, I hope you really have a glorious summer.
Oh that is strange! I've had some problems with Google Reader too in the past... I hope it will be fixed soon! :( I know, lately the weather is so unpredictable, we went from heatwave (35 degrees) to rain and wind in one week!
DeleteI understand you very well, we had weather like that most of the time here last few months, I feel the same, as I always use spf protection like you and people tend to look at me like they think Im too white, they really dont get I do not tan. That red dress does look like a top indeed, very good idea, and I like your skirt, so summery, perfect pattern :) Wow, your hair is so long now! :) nice!
ReplyDeleteIt sucks, right? :( Almost every day I hear people saying they're not tanned enough, I always think they are crazy. Thanks! I'm just not sure what to do about my hair, I will keep it this way or maybe grow it longer...
DeleteI know exactly how you feel, when I step outside to a super sunny and warm day I can't help but go "Nooooooooooope." I don't get the appeal of a sunburn or excessive sweating - which is what I always associate hot days with. You look beautiful, I love the skirt and those sunglasses are lovely. Great pictures, I wish I spent more time amongst the trees but I'm anxiously awaiting for tick season to be over!

Haha, yes! Hot weather just isn't attractive at all, I don't know why people love it so much. I can stand warm weather, but a heatwave is just ridiculous! I'm glad you think the same way! Thank you! :)
DeleteSuch a gorgeous outfit, you look perfect, as if you were going to throw the skirt out!? The scenery looks magnificent, beautiful shots xx
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! Can you believe that... luckily I changed my mind about the skirt, haha. It's a keeper now!
DeleteLovely outfit. Agree about the heat, not good for us true northern flowers!

Thank you! :)
DeleteI think these verdant woods make for such an excellent backdrop against which to sport an eye-catching black, red and white outfit (the juxtaposition helps to highlight the beauty of both). You look incredibly lovely, dear gal.

DeleteI'm glad you are protecting your lovely pale skin! You look so gorgeous and I couldn't imagaine a better place to be in the heat. xx
ReplyDeleteI sure am! I never go outside without my SPF :). Thank you so much! :)
DeleteOh what a beautiful skirt! And that piece of nature looks wonderful too, I'd also rather spend my time in nature while it's. Plus, it's also safer for us whiteys :-D red plus black and white is always a good combo.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I love nature too, it's so calming and peaceful when it's hot. Being in the city when it's a heatwave will probably kill me :D.
DeleteHello! I love your style. Red is beautiful on you :)!
